Walking into the chilly arena on a sunny morning for a game, headed to your locker room to get ready to play. Nervousness starts running through your body like the Flash even when you play hockey all the time that feeling never goes away before a game until you walk out to the huge rink with tons of seats, boards, glass, And all the big bright light from above glaring off the ice like the sun on the water. I find it the best feeling in the world. I think you would love it. It's like once you get in that arena all your worries, problems, sadness, and even madness just disappears into thin air and then it's just you and Hockey. And then you get on the ice and you see all the fans cheering for your team, your team flying up and down the ice like an airplane. Passing it to each other, scoring goals, making nice plays, And hard work all pays off for the win. You get to celebrate with your team, have fun, then usually my team pours water on the coach’s head when we win. All of what I have talked about is why I love hockey so much.

The First Nations  article is a good article published by the Canadian government that gives a lot of information about the indigenous peoples' culture and it gives an understanding on how they lived and thrived at that point of time. And as an Ojibwa First Nation I think this is a really good article. I like it because the article makes it super easy to understand my culture and the ways of my ancestors. I like that the author was not just talking about First Nations, in general he would talk about different nations.

Woodland First Nations, who lived in dense boreal forest in the eastern part of the country; Iroquoian First Nations, who inhabited the southernmost area, a fertile land suitable for planting corn, beans and squash; Plains First Nations, who lived on the grasslands of the Prairies; Plateau First Nations, whose geography ranged from semi-desert conditions in the south to high mountains and dense forest in the north; Pacific Coast First Nations, who had access to abundant salmon and shellfish and the gigantic red cedar for building huge houses; and the First Nations of the Mackenzie and Yukon River Basins

Talking about different types of nations will help the reader to get more of an understanding about indigenous culture and different types of spiritual practices and that way the reader can learn more from the article. The format of the article is also good because it is made to make it easy to read but putting sub-headers to let the reader know what they are reading about next and so they are not wondering what's going on. This is a good article to get information from and learn about the cultures.

Descriptive Writing

On our walk we were walking to look at different things that caught our eye and we walked by a lot of different things that are new to me because I'm new here so there is a lot of stuff I had the chance to look at. But the thing that caught my eye the most was the building that they took down and the lake ontario. The building that they took down was a memorable building but they wanted to renovate it so they took it down and left a part of the building up so people can still member it and they can also see a bit of it too. Secondly, the other thing that caught my eye was Lake Ontario. The reason it brought my attention is because in the Nippising First Nation we have a lake called Nippising lake and it is quite a bit smaller than lake Ontario. It takes only thirty minutes to get across the lake in Nippising and two hours for lake Ontario . And along the way there were some nice buildings, restaurants, cafes, parks, and shops that were cool to look at. Also the weather was really nice. It was sunny and a little bit cloudy. There was a downside though, there were a lot of wasps around us but altogether it was pretty nice that Mr.C brought\’ us out of school and did something like that.

Article Response

The Indigenous peoples In Canada article, published by The Canadian Encyclopedia, is a good article because it gives a lot of good

information about the indigenous people.  This  article is targeted for people that know some stuff about indigenous culture and want to know a bit more Because it has a lot more stuff that most people wouldn't know. I like how the author talks about the shamans.     Shamans are the most notable of the multiple religious figures present in traditional Indigenous religion. They function as healers, prophets, diviners and custodians of religious mythology, and are often the officiants at religious ceremonies. In some societies, all these functions are performed by the same person; in others, shamans are specialists.

This is good information for a reader that knows some culture and wants to learn more about shamans and how they healed people from the spirits inside them. Back at home I have a friend named Kilgin and he had something messing with his brain and tricking him into seeing himself everywhere. But one day we were fire keeping and we mentioned to him a shaman because there is one around where we live. Then the next time we saw him he looked so much more alive, just mentioning a shaman he stopped seeing himself. I think all this information is good for some people that are aware of some of the culture. This is a good article to trust reading and learn from as it gives a lot of information about specific stuff and doesn't just blow by the topic.
